ADV Training Camp

Spokane, WA – June 14-16, 2018

The Spokane ADVcamp is a 3-day training event with no optional 4th training ride. The training camp teaches a wide range of skills for street riders’ crossing over to the ADV world and for experienced ADV travelers looking to reduce their risk and increase the joy of travel. We cater to dual sport and adventure motorcycles of all sizes from 250’s to 1200’s. The skill sets that we present are thoroughly tested in the real world and are continually updated as the sport itself evolves.

 

The Spokane camp stands out as a location that uses an ORV area with steep hills and sand.  Using the woods to perfect your key skills with the added bonus of learning to stop fearing sand and steep hills and start looking forward to them.  If sand or hills have ever caused you to think twice this camp is a must for you.

Touratech Rally 101/102 Training

Plain, WA – June 22, 2018

Both the 101 and 102 courses provide instruction and skills every ADV rider needs before taking their motorcycle off the pavement. Whether it’s a 600lb ADV bike or a light weight dual-sport, this special rally edition ADV Off-Road 101 course will arm you the most critical skills to ride well, and increase your enjoyment taking your adventure stallion into the dirt.

 

The afternoon takes the 102 riders on to the roads and trails near the rally grounds with a full crew of instructors where you will get to apply your new skills from the ADV Off-Road 101 course in the real world. Here you will gain secrets to reading the terrain, riding contours and attacking real world challenges. After this you will be ready to maximize the other riding opportunities around the rally (Rally registration not included)

Poser Skills (special edition)

During this Touratech exclusive Bret Tkacs uses his systematic step by step approach while you learn to do rolling dismounts, slide-turns, climb hills without spinning your wheels, pause on a downhill with your feet up and if your spirit is strong how to get safely show air for the camera with the front wheel as you cross over obstacles and more.

 

By mastering control of your motorcycle you will not only look better while riding you will be a better, safer and more competent rider. Touratech Rally ADV 201 Training

Plain, WA – June 23, 2018

Riding off-road shouldn’t be about who can tackle the biggest hill, how fast you ride or a competition between riders. Learn to ride using less energy and muscle,conquer challenges such as hills, ruts, rocks and logs and more. Instructor Paul Solomonson works you through specially built challenges of hills, large rock pits, soft sand, logs, and whatever other challenges we can muster up at the rally grounds. Registration is limited and demand is high so register early. Not sure you are ready? Join us for the 101 or 102 course on Friday to ensure you have a strong foundation of skills for this Saturday training adventure. (Rally registration not included)

BDR Training Tour

WABDR – July 9-12, 2018

Professional instructors and guides will train you as you travel on our well-equipped adventure motorcycles along the southern peaks of the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route (WABDR). Discover Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount Hood, waterfalls, lava fields, alpine lakes, and active volcanos such as Mount Saint Helens. Far more than a traditional tour, these rustic training tours offer a rider to staff ratio of only 3:1. Traditional tours show you places; this one will teach you to discover them.

ADV Training Camp

The Oregon ADVcamp is a 3-day training event with an optional 4th training ride that takes your new skills to the mountains while you also learn the skills needed for navigating. The training camp teaches a wide range of skills for street riders’ crossing over to the ADV world and for experienced ADV travelers looking to reduce their risk and increase the joy of travel. We cater to dual sport and adventure motorcycles of all sizes from 250’s to 1200’s. The skill sets that we present are thoroughly tested in the real world and are continually updated as the sport itself evolves.

 

The Oregon camp stands out as a location that uses a private ranch and trail system for training located in the scenic wine region outside the Portland area. The training ride heads into the coastal mountains to put all your new skills to use. This is one of the best locations we’ve found for training ADV riders who travel in the PNW.

We are sure you will be planning your next adventure with us long before you even leave for home! Also, you will enjoy the security of a support vehicle and the advantage of traveling light.

ADV 101 Training

Puyallup, WA – August 16, 2018

Set to qualify riders to attend the Alumni tour and as a refresher the ADV 101 addresses the off-road skills every ADV rider needs before taking their motorcycle off the pavement. Whether it’s a 600lb ADV bike or a light weight dual-sport, this course will arm you the most critical skills to ride well, and increase your enjoyment taking your adventure stallion into the dirt.

Transitioning to the ADV world, looking for a leg up in skill or as a veteran traveler this program will help you learn to use less energy, ride with greater precision and have fewer near mishaps.
